AN CEANN COMHAIRLE:
Fuaireas litir ó Theachta Sheán O Lideadha á rádh go bhfuil sé ag eirighe as an Dáil. I received a letter from Deputy Sean O Lideadh, Co. Clare, tendering his resignation from the Dáil on the ground that he has taken up a position in a non-partizan body in the public service —the Civic Guard, I think.
Mr. WM. O'BRIEN:
Is it proposed to take any action with regard to these resignations?
AN CEANN COMHAIRLE:
I am not aware. I suppose you mean with regard to filling the vacancies.
The PRESIDENT:
At present, at any rate, and until more normal conditions prevail, and also in view of the short [367] period that must elapse between this and the General Election, we do not think it is necessary to fill these vacancies just now.
