Mr. DAVIN (for Tomás O Conaill):
asked the Minister for Defence if, and when, he intends to have the military [688] forces now stationed at Tuam Workhouse withdrawn from there, as requested by the Galway County Board of Health, in order to allow the children to be removed from Glenamaddy Home to Tuam Workhouse, which has been sanctioned by the Department of Local Government and Public Health as the new children's Home.
MINISTER for DEFENCE (Mr. Hughes):
It is intended to withdraw the troops from Tuam Workhouse at the end of this month.
