That, for the purpose of any Act of the present Session to make provision for the payment of compensation to certain former employees of the Cork Electric Supply Company, Limited, and for other matters in connection therewith, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas of:—
(a) the compensation awarded under such Act,
[308] (b) the remuneration and other expenses of the Advisory Committee established under such Act, and
(c) any other expenses incurred in the administration of such Act.
Mr. Lemass:
This Bill will not impose any charge on the Exchequer. The advances made under the Bill are about to be repaid.
Mr. Cosgrave:
What are the expenses?
Mr. Lemass:
The expenses in this Bill will be nominal, and it is anticipated that any expenses incurred will be due to be repaid. I have no doubt that certain people will make claims which will have to be investigated.
Resolution reported and agreed to.
