Mr. Everett: Information on James Everett  Zoom on James Everett  asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state what steps he proposes taking to secure better supervision over public utility societies.

Mr. O Ceallaigh: Information on Seán T. O'Kelly  Zoom on Seán T. O'Kelly  I am satisfied that public utility societies have played an important part in getting new houses erected throughout the country. My functions in regard to them are confined to seeing that the houses in respect of which grants are claimed comply with the requirements of the Housing Acts.
