Mr. Broderick:  asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the total capital liabilities of local authorities (a) as on 31st March, 1932, and (b) as on 31st March, 1939.

Minister for Local Government and Public Health (Mr. Ruttledge): Information on Patrick Joseph Ruttledge  Zoom on Patrick Joseph Ruttledge  The Annual Returns of Local Taxation contain the information the Deputy requires for the year ended the 31st March, 1932. The latest published [816] returns are those for the year ended 31st March, 1938. The returns for the year ended 31st March, 1939, are not yet fully compiled.

Mr. Broderick:  The Minister does not state what the amount was on the 31st March, 1938.
