An Leas-Cheann Comhairle:
The following Message has been received from the Seanad:—
Seanad Eireann has this day made the following Orders:—
That a Select Committee of seven members be appointed to be joined with a Select Committee consisting of 15 members and the Ceann Comhairle to be appointed by the Dáil, to consider and make recommendations on the method of regulating elections of those elected members of Seanad Eireann who are required by the Constitution to be elected from panels of candidates and the definition of the electorate for such elections;
That the Ceann Comhairle be Chairman of the Joint Committee;
That the quorum be three, exclusive of the Chairman;
That the Committee be nominated by the Committee of Selection.
The Dáil adjourned at 2 o'clock until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, 6th February, 1946.
