Mr. Corish: asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the minimum rate of wages at present paid to labourers employed by the Forestry Department in each district in which more than five men are employed.
Mr. Moylan:
There is no relationship [772] between the rate of wages paid to forestry labourers at any particular centre and the number of men employed at that centre. The rates of wages are as follows:—
In addition to these rates a differential of 2/- a week is payable to selected labourers of long service and experience.
