Mr. O'Donnell: Information on Patrick O'Donnell  Zoom on Patrick O'Donnell  asked the Minister for Finance whether it is proposed to proceed with the erection of a pier at Curransport, County Donegal.

[1295]Mr. Beegan: Information on Patrick Beegan  Zoom on Patrick Beegan  Examination of this proposal has not yet been completed and I regret that I cannot say when a decision will be reached in the matter.

Mr. O'Donnell: Information on Patrick O'Donnell  Zoom on Patrick O'Donnell  Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that a similar reply has been given in this House for the past 15 years? Is he further aware that owing to the very primitive conditions obtaining there, the unfortunate fishermen have to carry their fish in creels up rocks at night-time and will he give the matter favourable consideration as soon as possible?

Mr. Beegan: Information on Patrick Beegan  Zoom on Patrick Beegan  The matter is being given favourable consideration but it cannot be reached until the engineering and marine staff are available. They are already working on a number of schemes round the coast, including schemes in County Donegal.

A Deputy:  Fifteen years on these schemes.

Mr. MacBride: Information on Seán MacBride  Zoom on Seán MacBride  Is it in fact correct as Deputy O'Donnell has stated that a similar answer has been given to the same question for 15 years?

Mr. Beegan: Information on Patrick Beegan  Zoom on Patrick Beegan  I cannot say.

Mr. Corry: Information on Martin John Corry  Zoom on Martin John Corry  How many times was the answer given by the last Government?
