Dr. Humphreys: Information on Dr. Francis Humphreys  Zoom on Dr. Francis Humphreys  asked the Minister for Education if he will state the number of national schools conducted by religious communities of males in which the staff were paid personal salaries for the years ending 30th June, 1949, 1950 and 1951.

Mr. Moylan: Information on Seán Moylan  Zoom on Seán Moylan  The number of national schools conducted by religious communities of Brothers in which the staff were paid personal salaries was 56 on the 30th June, 1949, 30th June, 1950, and 30th June, 1951.

Mr. Moylan: Information on Seán Moylan  Zoom on Seán Moylan  The number of national schools conducted by religious communities [822] of Brothers to which payment was made on a capitation basis was:—

On 30th June, 1949 88
On 30th June, 1950 89
On 30th June, 1951 90.
