Mr. Sweetman:
asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the amount of the grants paid to persons for (a) new houses erected, and (b) houses reconstructed in County Kildare in each of the last three financial years.

NOTE.—Payments to private persons on foot of grants under Section 19 of the Housing (Amendment) Act, 1948, or Section 3 of the Housing (Amendment) Act, 1946, are not included in the above figures as such payments are made by the local housing authorities (subject to proportionate recoupment by the Department) and particulars as to the date of payment to the individuals are not available in the Department.
