Mr. Ryan: asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware of the many incidents of trespass and damage to house property being committed in the erection of television aerials; and whether in the interests of public safety and the rights of private property he will take steps to control the erection of such aerials.
Minister for Posts and Telegraphs (Mr. Hilliard):
The answer to the first part of the question is no. Any question of trespass or damage of the kind mentioned by the Deputy would not be a matter for me but for the owners of the properties concerned.
