Mr. Corish: Information on Brendan Corish  Zoom on Brendan Corish  asked the Minister for External Affairs if the views expressed by the Minister for Lands at Claremorris Chamber of Commerce on the subject of the Government's attitude to the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation represent the new policy of his Department on this matter; and, if so, whether he will make a statement clarifying this policy.

Mr. D. Costello: Information on Declan Costello  Zoom on Declan Costello  In answer to an earlier question this afternoon, Question [75] 29, the Taoiseach said that our membership of the European Economic Community would involve a change of our role in the United Nations. Would the Minister for External Affairs indicate to the House how he envisages our change of role is to take place?
