Mr. Harte:
asked the Minister for Local Government the cause of the delay in sanctioning mini-type houses proposed by the Donegal County Council to be built in Stranorlar for old people.
Minister for Local Government (Mr. Blaney):
There has been no delay in approving this proposal. Contract documents for the scheme, incorporating some amendments suggested by my Department's technical advisers, were received from the housing authority on the 4th instant. These are being examined.
Mr. Harte:
Would the Minister do all in his power to expedite sanction of these houses? He is as much aware as I am of the problem in Donegal.
Mr. Blaney:
As I have indicated, I received the documents on Saturday last and they are at present being examined. There will be no delay whatsoever as far as I am concerned.
