Mr. Creed:
asked the Minister for Local Government if he will establish Macroom town, County Cork, as a driving test centre.
Mr. Molloy:
To ensure reasonable equality of standard of test, driving tests in cars and lorries must be carried out in towns in which there is a road network on which varied traffic conditions are experienced. These conditions do not prevail in Macroom and accordingly I do not propose to establish a regular driving test centre in Macroom.
