Mr. Tully: Information on James Tully  Zoom on James Tully  asked the Minister for Finance if he will state in respect of the years ended 31st March, 1970, and 1971, the actual or estimated revenue from (a) turnover tax and (b) wholesale tax.

Minister for Finance (Mr. Colley): Information on George Colley  Zoom on George Colley  In the year ended 31st March, 1970, the net receipt of turnover tax was £20,342,700 and of wholesale tax was £20,222,465. In the year ended 31st March, 1971, the approximate net [545] receipt of turnover tax was £41,189,000 and of wholesale tax was £25,024,000.
