Dr. O'Connell:
asked the Minister for the Gaeltacht the total amount by way of grants or otherwise given to Irish Plastic Industries, Carraroe, County Galway; and, if the factory is at present in operation.
Mr. Kitt:
Tuigim ó Ghaeltarra Éireann nár cuireadh tús leis an tionscal atá i gceist sa mhonarcha ar an gCeathrú Rua agus go bhfuil athbhreithniú á dhéanamh ar an gcás. Is le Gaeltarra an mhonarcha agus, ó [685] thaobh an tionscail, níl aon scaireanna ceannaithe ná deontas caipitil íoctha ag Gaeltarra.
Dr. O'Connell:
Can the Parliamentary Secretary say if there is any money outstanding from Irish Plastics Industries to Gaeltarra Éireann?
Mr. Kitt:
Níl aon ní ar siúl fós mar níl an mhonarcha críochnaithe. Sin ceist eile.
Dr. O'Connell:
Further, can the Parliamentary Secretary say whether money was given to this factory and to a person in the factory and that this money was not returned and that it was found that invoices were forged?
Mr. Kitt:
Is le Gaeltarra an mhonarcha.
Mr. Corish:
If the Parliamentary Secretary was a native speaker, he would be a lot of trouble. Lean ort.
Mr. Kitt:
Níl an mhonarcha críochnaithe fós agus, mar sin, níl aon airgead i gceist.
Dr. O'Connell:
The information I have on this matter is very different from that which the Parliamentary Secretary has. Therefore, will he look into this question?
Mr. Kitt:
Féachfaidh mé isteach sa cheist.
[686]Dr. O'Connell:
The Parliamentary Secretary has no English.
