Mr. L'Estrange: Information on Gerald L'Estrange  Zoom on Gerald L'Estrange  asked the Minister for Education if he will indicate (a) the number of primary schools which have installed (i) heating and (ii) sanitary facilities; and (b) the number of schools without each facility; and what efforts are being made to provide sanitary facilities in all national schools.

Minister for Education (Mr. Faulkner): Information on Padraig Faulkner  Zoom on Padraig Faulkner  I would refer the Deputy to my replies on 14th and 16th December, 1971, to similar questions.

The information from the survey referred to will not be available until the end of June, 1972. I would like to assure the Deputy that good progress is being made in providing proper heating and sanitary facilities in all primary schools.
