Mr. Herbert: asked the Minister for Education if an application for a central heating grant has been received from the manager of Knockainey national school, County Limerick; and when it will be paid.
An application made on behalf of the chairman of the board of management for the provision of central heating at Knockainey national school and the repair of the roof of the prefabricated classroom has been approved, on the recommendation of the Commissioners of Public Works.
Minister for Education (Mr. P. Barry): The Commissioners of Public Works, who have been carrying out investigations of the site proposed for this new school have reported that they will not be in a position to proceed with the preparation of sketch plans for the new school until their investigations have been completed.
