Mr. G. Brady: Information on Gerard Brady  Zoom on Gerard Brady  asked the Minister for Education if he will consider the question of establishing an “Open University” in Ireland now that we have a second television channel.

Minister for Education (Mr. Wilson): Information on John P. Wilson  Zoom on John P. Wilson  The introduction of a second television channel would not, in itself, warrant the establishment of an “Open University” in Ireland. I do not consider that such a development is feasible at present.
