Mr. Tully:
asked the Minister for Industry, Commerce and Energy the average fuel cost per unit of electricity generated by the ESB, before transmission on the grid, (a) in the oil-fired stations, (b) in the coal-fired stations, (c) in peat-fired stations, and (d) in hydro stations.

The information requested by the Deputy, as furnished to me by the ESB, is as follows: (a) oil-fired stations, 1.232p; (b) coal-fired stations, 1.875p; (c) peat-fired stations, 1.028p (Sod Peat), 0.772p (Milled Peat); (d) hydro stations, Nil.
