Mr. E. Collins: Information on Edward Collins  Zoom on Edward Collins  asked the Minister for Education the cost per pupil in the following education establishments (a) primary schools, (b) secondary schools, (c) vocational schools, (d) comprehensive schools, (e) community schools, (f) NIHE Limerick, (g) Thomond College of Physical Education, (h) UCC, (i) UCG, (j) UCD, and (k) Trinity College in respect of the academic year 1978-79.

Minister for Education (Mr. Wilson): Information on John P. Wilson  Zoom on John P. Wilson  The average cost per full-time equivalent pupil funded by my Department was as follows for the financial year 1978, the latest year available:

In interpreting these figures, it should be borne in mind that the full complement of student enrolment has not yet been reached in the case of Thomond College and some of the Community Schools.
