Dr. Browne:
asked the Minister for the Environment if he will state in respect of Dún Laoghaire Borough Corporation (a) the total number of local authority houses completed each year, (b) the total amount of capital expenditure on local authority housing and (c) the average number of applicants on the housing list for each of the past ten years.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will state in respect of Dún Laoghaire Borough Corporation (a) the estimated number of local authority houses that will be completed during the remainder of 1980, 1981 and 1982, (b) the present number of applicants on the housing list, (c) the estimated number of new applications that will be received between now and the end of 1982, and (d) the total amount of unused building land owned at present by the local authority.
Minister for the Environment (Mr. R. Burke):
: The estimated numbers of local authority houses that will be completed by Dún Laoghaire Corporation in each of the periods mentioned are 71, 90, and 135 respectively. In addition, casual vacancies in the corporation's housing estate make accommodation available for about 40 families each year. The present number of approved applications for rehousing is 389. The corporation state that it is not possible to give an estimate of the numbers of new housing applications which will be received between now and the end of 1982. The total amount of unused building land at present available to the corporation is 42 acres.
