Mr. Crotty: Information on Kieran Crotty  Zoom on Kieran Crotty  asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a reconstruction grant, due since February 1980, has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; when he intends to pay this grant; and the reason no acknowledgement or reply issued to this person's letters of 5 September, 23 October and 15 November 1980.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. R. Burke): Information on Ray Burke  Zoom on Ray Burke  A grant could not be paid without a final inspection to establish whether the work had been satisfactorily completed. The applicant wrote to my Department on 5 August 1980 saying that the work had been virtually completed but there is no record, despite an exhaustive search, of any subsequent notification that the work had been fully completed. An inspection will now be arranged with a view to payment of a grant, if in order.
