The Taoiseach:
It is proposed to take business in the following order: Nos. 5, 6, 1, 7 and in 7 Votes 36 (resumed), 38, 42, 50 and 28.
Mr. Keating:
May I raise two items on the Adjournment today — first, the virtual collapse of the legal aid centres by virtue of the fact that they are not taking on any extra cases and, second, the application for political asylum of a student for whom deportation would have extremely serious consequences? The full information of that case is already with the General Office.
An Ceann Comhairle:
I will communicate with the Deputy.
Mr. Deasy:
When is it intended to introduce a Bill setting up an independent broadcasting authority? This was promised last year.
The Taoiseach:
I will communicate with the Deputy about the time scale of that legislation.
Mr. Deasy:
I was told that before but never received a communication.
