Mr. Daly:
asked the Minister for Labour the number of meetings he has had since his appointment with the Employment Equality Agency and the Council for the Status of Women.
Mr. Kavanagh:
I met the chairperson of the Employment Equality Agency on 29 July 1981 and the chairperson and members of the agency on 18 September 1981. I also spoke at the closing session of a seminar with the theme “Developing and Implementing Equal Opportunities Policies” which was co-sponsored by the Employment Equality Agency, the IDA and AnCO and took place on 5 November last.
The Taoiseach had a comprehensive discussion with representatives of the Council for the Status of Women on 29 [30] September and I will be meeting with the representatives of that body on 7 December next.
Mrs. Lemass:
Does the Minister intend to increase the amount of money that those agencies are going to receive in 1982? Is he going to give them a considerable increase?
Mr. Kavanagh:
I think that is another question before me.
An Ceann Comhairle:
That is a separate question.
