The Tánaiste: Information on Raymond MacSharry  Zoom on Raymond MacSharry  It is proposed to take business in the following order 1, 2, 7, 8 (resumed), 9 and 10 (resumed). Private Members' Business, from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. will be No. 19 (resumed).

Mr. Fitzpatrick: Information on Thomas J. Fitzpatrick  Zoom on Thomas J. Fitzpatrick  (Cavan-Monaghan): I should like to ask the Tánaiste if the Government would agree to make time available for a debate on the common fisheries policy in view of the fact that, at the end of this year, the derogation in favour of Irish fishermen will come to an end. Unless there is a common fisheries policy, fishing will be permitted right into our shores. This is a very serious matter for our fishermen.

The Tánaiste: Information on Raymond MacSharry  Zoom on Raymond MacSharry  I accept this point. It is a matter which may be discussed between the Whips.

Mr. Fitzpatrick: Information on Thomas J. Fitzpatrick  Zoom on Thomas J. Fitzpatrick  (Canan-Monaghan): The Tánaiste will appreciate that it is highly desirable that such a debate would take place before the Dáil goes into recess.

Mr. Quinn: Information on Ruairí Quinn  Zoom on Ruairí Quinn  Could the Tánaiste give some indication as to when the committee in relation to the EEC and semi-State bodies can be established. All that is required is to put a motion on the Order Paper. I am sure all parties will agree to it. As the House is aware, these committees have not been in operation for over a year and there are many matters to be discussed.

[741]The Tánaiste: Information on Raymond MacSharry  Zoom on Raymond MacSharry  Some of them will be down on tomorrow's Order Paper and probably more next week.

Mr. Harte: Information on Patrick D. Harte  Zoom on Patrick D. Harte  I want your guidance as to how I can raise it on the Adjournment when other people have also asked to raise matters on the Adjournment. People have been promised money but they have not been given any——
