Mr. L.T. Cosgrave: Information on Liam T. Cosgrave  Zoom on Liam T. Cosgrave  asked the Minister for Education the reason an audio-visual grant was not paid to Loreto school, Foxrock, County Dublin.

Minister for Education (Mrs. Hussey): Information on Gemma Hussey  Zoom on Gemma Hussey  The number of applications received for grants under the audio-visual aids scheme in 1982 far exceeded the total funds available. It was necessary, accordingly, to give priority to schools which had not received a grant under the scheme in 1980 or 1981. Loreto school, Foxrock, received such a grant in each of those years and it was not possible to offer a further grant in 1982.
