Order of Business.
I should like to ask the Taoiseach if he is aware of the shocking announcement this morning in relation to the large scale redundancies in the ESB and if he will tell the House his position in regard ...
It is one of the most important developments in the past number of weeks.
If the Chair thinks that the loss of between 1,000 and 2,000 jobs is not a matter for the Order of Business I am surprised at him.

No station will close down as a result of this scheme?
The Minister did not give the cost of the scheme to the ESB.
The papers have got it wrong, according to the Minister.
It will be decided for the Laois-Offaly by-election.
