592.

Mr. J. Walsh: Information on Joe Walsh  Zoom on Joe Walsh  asked the Minister for Labour the total amount of money which will be spent on youth employment scheme grants in Cork south-west in 1985; and if he will give the names of the supervisors involved in each project.

Minister for Labour (Mr. Quinn): Information on Ruairí Quinn  Zoom on Ruairí Quinn  It is not possible to indicate at this stage the total amount that will be spent in 1985 as applications are still being received for assistance under the various schemes. [1426] Under my Department's teamwork scheme a total of £86,610 has been allocated to six projects in Cork south west from 1 January 1985 to date. An estimated £110,000 will be spent under the AnCO community youth training programme in the Cork south west area in 1985 on a projected seven projects.

The Youth Employment Agency has approved a grant of £12,000 under its community enterprise programme for one project. The employment of supervisors is a matter for the project organisers subject to the conditions laid down in the scheme involved and I have no function in the matter.
