Mr. Coughlan: asked the Minister for Labour when a redundancy payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.
Minister for Labour (Mr. Quinn):
The person concerned was paid his full statutory redundancy lump sum entitlement from the redundancy and employers' insolvency fund on 25th October 1985.
Proinsias De Rossa:
asked the Minister for Labour if he is aware that funding for the Finglas Motor Project under the teamwork scheme (Ref No TG/85/297) has not been sanctioned; and if in view of his declared interest in seeing this project succeed, he will intervene to ensure that funding is sanctioned.
Minister for Labour (Mr. Quinn):
A meeting is being arranged between officials of my Department and the project organisers to discuss the funding of the project through the teamwork youth employment scheme. Apart from possible assistance under teamwork, my Department have already approved a grant towards the cost of employing an additional full time youth worker in the Finglas area who would be responsible for developing the project.
Mr. Enright:
asked the Minister [763] for Labour if a person (details supplied) in County Laois who is presently on the enterprise allowance scheme is entitled to payment of pay-related benefit in a lump sum; and if so, if he will arrange to issue all moneys due to the person concerned.
Minister for Labour (Mr. Quinn):
The person concerned is entitled to a pay-related benefit lump sum payment of £522 under the enterprise allowance scheme. I am arranging for payment to issue within the next three weeks.
