Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn: Information on Máire Geoghegan-Quinn  Zoom on Máire Geoghegan-Quinn  asked the Minister for the Environment whether or not in accordance with Bord na Gaeilge's action plan for Irish, 1983-86; (1) a [2126] responsible officer has been appointed within his Department; (2) whether an Irish Development Committee has been established; and (3) the stage of preparation the action programme for Irish has reached within his Department.

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Kavanagh): Information on Liam Kavanagh  Zoom on Liam Kavanagh  In accordance with Bord na Gaeilge's action plan for Irish 1983-86: (1) the relevant responsibilities have been assigned to an officer in my Department; (2) an Irish Development Committee has been established; and (3) the Irish Development Committee has prepared a development plan for Irish in the Department.
