Mrs. Geoghegan-Quinn: Information on Máire Geoghegan-Quinn  Zoom on Máire Geoghegan-Quinn  asked the Minister for Labour when a social employment scheme will be sanctioned for a group (details supplied) in County Galway.

Minister for Labour (Mr. Quinn): Information on Ruairí Quinn  Zoom on Ruairí Quinn  The project in question under the social employment scheme was approved by the scheme's monitoring committee on 21 April 1986. This approval has been conveyed to the sponsors and a formal application for the initial payment of the grant is now awaited.
