Mr. J. Leonard: Information on James Leonard  Zoom on James Leonard  asked the Minister for Labour the amount paid to date to each county under the social employment scheme for (1) wages and (b) materials.

Minister for Labour (Mr. Quinn): Information on Ruairí Quinn  Zoom on Ruairí Quinn  Since January 1986, information relating to the payment of grant aid under the social employment scheme is recorded on a National Manpower Service regional basis.

The following table sets out the total amount of grant aid paid to SES project sponsors in each NMS region in 1986:
