Mr. Deasy: Information on Austin Deasy  Zoom on Austin Deasy  asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the new vocational school at Dungarvan, County Waterford; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): Information on Mary O'Rourke  Zoom on Mary O'Rourke  A new vocational school to cater for 225 pupils has been approved for Dungarvan.

However, my Department is conducting a review of the overall post-primary needs of the Dungarvan centre in the light of enrolment and population trends and of capital resources available to it.

Pending completion of this review, I am not in a position to say when this vocational school project will be completed.
