Mr. Carey:
asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The grant has been paid.
Mr. Deasy:
asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a person (details supplied) in County Waterford was not paid the approved amount of £4,444 in respect of a house improvement grant; and if it was due to confusion arising from the person's surname.

The balance of the grant will be paid as soon as possible.
Mr. Bell:
asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in payment of a house improvement grant to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and when payment will be made.

Notification [2361] of completion of work has not been received.
Mr. Boland:
asked the Minister for the Environment if arrangements will be made for an early final inspection, with a view to payment, of a house improvement grant for a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.
Minister of State at the Department of the Environment (Mr. Connolly):
An inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.
Mr. Aylward:
asked the Minister for the Environment if documents, requested by his Department, sent by registered post by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny have now reached his Department; and, if so, if he will make arrangements for an early inspection for a new house grant and early payment thereafter.

The documents requested have now been received. An inspection, by appointment, with a view to approval and payment of the £2,000 grant will be carried out as soon as possible.
Payment of the £2,250 grant will be made to the builder of the house in two instalments in due course.
