Mr. Deasy: Information on Austin Deasy  Zoom on Austin Deasy  asked the Minister for the Environment the reason a person (details supplied) in County Waterford was not paid the approved amount of £4,444 in respect of a house improvement grant; and if it was due to confusion arising from the person's surname.

Mr. Aylward: Information on Liam Aylward  Zoom on Liam Aylward  asked the Minister for the Environment if documents, requested by his Department, sent by registered post by a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny have now reached his Department; and, if so, if he will make arrangements for an early inspection for a new house grant and early payment thereafter.

An inspection, by appointment, with a view to approval and payment of the £2,000 grant will be carried out as soon as possible.

Payment of the £2,250 grant will be made to the builder of the house in two instalments in due course.
