Dáil Éireann Debate
195. Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Labour if he will arrange to have compensation paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny which was awarded to him under the Unfair Dismissals Act, 1977.
I understand that the employer company in this case has gone into liquidation in which case the procedure for securing payment of the award is that the liquidator must submit an application to my Department for funds to pay the award to the person concerned.
My Department have contacted the liquidator who has indicated that he will forward the appropriate application form within the next few days. When the application is received in my Department it will be processed without delay.
