  78.  Mr. McCormack  Information on Pádraic McCormack  Zoom on Pádraic McCormack   asked the Minister for Education  Information on Mary O'Rourke  Zoom on Mary O'Rourke   the response her Department have given to County Galway VEC in their request for additional teachers to be appointed this year.

Minister for Education (Mrs. O'Rourke): Information on Mary O'Rourke  Zoom on Mary O'Rourke  My Department have made an interim response to County Galway VEC.

The full case submitted by the chief executive officer, County Galway VEC for an increased teacher allocation for the 1991-92 school year to cater for increased enrolments is at present under consideration in my Department and the chief executive officer will be advised of the decision in the matter as soon as possible.
