  81.  Mr. Callely  Information on Ivor Callely  Zoom on Ivor Callely   asked the Minister for Education  Information on Seamus Brennan  Zoom on Seamus Brennan   when the term of the last national sports council, Cospóir, expired; the length of time the question of the reappointment of Cospóir has been under consideration by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Minister for Education (Mr. S. Brennan): Information on Seamus Brennan  Zoom on Seamus Brennan  The three year term of office of Cospóir, the National Sports Council, ended in June 1988. The construction and future operation of a new council is at present under consideration and a statement will be made in due course.
