Request to Move Adjournment of Dáil under Standing Order 30.
Having considered the matter fully, I do not consider it to be one contemplated by the Standing Order. Accordingly, I cannot grant leave to move the motion.
I can only tell the House, which knows full well, that regrettably this has been an ongoing matter for some time. In fact, it was dealt with in this House at Question Time last Tuesday.
There are many other opportunities and ways and means open to Deputies to raise such matters.
Order of Business.
Are the proposals outlined for dealing with Votes 41 and 35 agreed? Agreed. Is the proposal that any divisions called today be postponed agreed? Agreed. Is the proposal relating to the Adjournment...
This matter could be more appropriately dealt with by the Whips.
Matters appertaining to the President should not be raised in this fashion.
Please, Deputy Quinn, let us nor embroil the Presidency in argumentation or dispute in this House.
It is not in order to raise that matter now, Deputy.
The Deputy can put down a question on that matter. (Interruptions.)
Estimates, 1992. - Vote 41: Health (Revised Estimate).
I am sorry to interrupt the Minister but the Chair is bound by the decision of the House this morning with regard to the amount of time available to the Minister and the other spokespersons. I am sad...

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers.
We are dealing with priority questions which I hope, with the co-operation of the Deputies, to complete within the time stipulated in Standing Orders.
Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Bovine Disease Eradication Programme.
If this is the case, we sought not to anticipate that question.
That would not be appropriate now.
Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Beef Premium Scheme.
I am sorry, the question is going on too long, to the detriment of the Deputy's next question.
Sorry, I must now proceed to other questions.

Deputy Bradford, this is Question Time.
I am very sorry. I want to assist the Deputy in eliciting information but it must be done by way of supplementary questions; speechmaking is out of order.
There are two Deputies offering. Deputy Ferris and Deputy Farrelly. Brief questions, please.
Let us come to Question No. 14.
Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Illtreatment of Irish Greyhounds.
The Chair is concerned about reflections cast upon a member of Bord na gCon who might well be identifiable. If serious charges are being made against a person outside this House I would much prefer t...
The question deals with Spain and I am concerned that we might go outside that area.
Let us have a reply to No. 15, please.
I have called Question No. 15. Let us have a response.
Supplementaries should cease when the Chair calls another question.
The Chair always facilitates Deputies, including the Deputy concerned.
Let us have no further argument about it.
Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Headage Payments.
This question refers to a specific case. I am not allowing any extension of that case.
Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Recoursing of Hares.
I am not sure that that is part of the question, Deputy.
The Deputy is raising a separate matter warranting a separate question.
We have had some specific questions.
The Deputy is embarking on a speech. This is not good enough.
Deputy Gregory, please desist. Allow your supplementary questions to be replied to.
There is no need for explanation.
I have heard all of that before. The Minister to reply now, or else we shall proceed to the next question.
Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Teagasc Funding.
The time for questions has expired but I will allow very brief questions from Deputy Farrelly and Deputy Ryan.
That is a separate matter and indeed the Deputy raised it in the House before. It is not relevant now.
That must be the end of Question Time for today.
