An Ceann Comhairle: Information on Seán Treacy  Zoom on Seán Treacy  I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to me under Standing Order 20 (3) (a) and the name of the Member in each case: (1) Deputy Spring, the progress being made in responding to the request by Kerry County Council for approval for a new landfill site at Muinganinnane, Raemore, Tralee; (2) Deputy S. Barrett, the subject matter of Parliamentary Question No. 143 of 28 April 1992 to the Minister for Education regarding the Dublin Language and Learning Unit; (3) Deputy Deenihan, the serious implications for Tralee General Hospital and the people of Kerry because of the decision by the Southern Health Board to close a number of wards in the hospital this summer; (4) Deputy Power, the serious situation that has arisen following the national lottery draw on Saturday, 30 May 1992; (5) Deputy McCartan, the case of a person (details supplied) held in custody in India without trial and the need for the Minister for Foreign Affairs to seek his immediate release in the interests of human rights; (6) Deputy Owen, the difficulties, due to the postal strike, being encountered by hundreds of people trying to get passports and the need for extra staff and an additional centre for distribution and (7) Deputy Gilmore, the temporary embargo which has been imposed on the recruitment of participants to social employment schemes.

I have selected for discussion the matters raised by Deputies Power, Spring and Owen.
