if he will approve funding for the purchase by Wicklow County Council of a hydraulic platform for Bray fire brigade as sought by Wicklow County Council.

if he will sanction the purchase by Wicklow County Council of four new water tenders as sought in the year 1992.
Minister for the Environment (Mr. M. Smith):
I propose to take Questions Nos. 153 and 155 together.
[1610] Consideration is now being given to the projects to be financed from the 1994 fire services capital allocation. The proposals submitted by Wicklow County Council for four new fire appliances, three water tenders and 1 hydraulic platform, will be evaluated in that context. I am not in a position to say when a decision will be made.

if he will grant approval to Wicklow County Council to proceed to contract document/tender stage in relation to fire stations in Blessington and Wicklow town, County Wicklow.
Minister for the Environment (Mr. M. Smith):
Documentation submitted by Wicklow County Council in relation to the provision of new fire stations in Wicklow and Blessington is currently under examination in my Department. Replies will issue to the council as soon as possible.
