[106]Minister for the Environment (Mr. M. Smith): Information on Michael Smith  Zoom on Michael Smith  Last February, I notified local authorities of their discretionary grant allocations for non-national roads in 1994 and I have no proposals to alter these. I am at present considering applications from local authorities under the new scheme of grants for specific improvement works on non-national roads which have a significant and quantifiable economic impact. A total of £33.6 million is available to finance approved works in 1994 and I will notify local authorities of their allocations as soon as possible.
