  184.  Miss M. Wallace      asked the Minister for the Marine      the amount and nature of all spending within his Department and by bodies under his Department's aegis on schemes specifically directed towards meeting the needs of people with disabilities. [9388/95]

Minister for the Marine (Mr. Coveney):    It is the objective of the Department to ensure that access to and facilities in buildings which are the property of the Department, or bodies operating under its aegis, are provided for the disabled, both for employees and for the public. In addition to this, schemes are undertaken to encourage the participation of the disabled in leisure activities. Details of expenditure being undertaken in 1995 directed towards meeting the needs of the disabled are provided in the tabular form attached.
