asked the
Minister for Education
if the investigation referred to in her reply to Parliamentary Question No. 148 of 20 June 1995 has been completed; if so, the outcome of that investigation; and if the 16 children concerned have obtained places in the local secondary school.

Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach):
My Department has completed its inquiries in this case and the position is that all the pupils concerned have now been placed in local second level schools. The enrolment policy of the local secondary school referred to has also been examined and it conforms to Departmental guidelines in this area.
