  116.  Mr. Killeen      asked the Minister for the Environment      if he is satisfied with the current legislation and regulations governing the setting up and operation of incinerators. [2482/96]

  122.  Miss de Valera      asked the Minister for the Environment      his views on incineration as a means of waste disposal, particularly where the chemical industry is concerned; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2521/96]

Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin):    I propose to take Questions Nos. 116 and 122 together.

I refer to the reply to Questions Nos. 8, 18, 25, 36, 40, 54, 144 and 146 of 7 November 1995 which dealt extensively with issues of waste incineration.
