Minister for Education (Ms Bhreathnach): Information on Niamh Bhreathnach  Zoom on Niamh Bhreathnach  I propose to take Questions Nos. 63 and 185 together.

The broad outline of a framework for in-service education is set out in the White Paper on Education, “Charting [1826] our Education Future”, including specific programme priorities. In line with the commitment in the White Paper, my Department is currently involved in the final stages of discussions with the Partners in Education with a view to producing a fully developed and detailed framework for in-service education. These discussions are taking place through the primary and post-primary in-career advisory committees, under the auspices of my Department, on which the Partners in Education are represented.

A draft document, taking account of the written submissions and the discussions already made at committee meetings, will be considered by the committees at their next meetings.
