The information requested is as follows:
There are no regional water schemes at present under construction by, or on behalf of, Kildare County Council. My Department is funding a major refurbishment of the Leixlip water plant which has enabled Fingal County Council to make additional water available to Kildare County Council.
I have recently approved the appointment of consultants to prepare a preliminary report for the North-East Kildare water scheme. The cost of this scheme has not yet been authoritatively estimated.
Proposals for the following schemes have been submitted to my Department:
|Castledermot Regional Water supply
||To replace existing overloaded treatment plant
|South Kildare Regional Water Supply
||Laying of trunk main to serve the South Kildare area
|Athy Water Supply
||To improve the water supply to Athy town and surrounding area
|Monasterevan Water Supply
||To improve the water supply to Monasterevan
|Alternative Water Supply Source for County Kildare
||To identify possible alternative sources to supplement existing sources of supply

It is not possible to say when these schemes will reach construction stage.
There are 5 group water schemes in progress, as follows:

A further 25 group schemes are at various stages of planning. The information requested on these schemes is being compilted and will be forwarded to the Deputy as soon as possible.
