Minister for the Environment (Mr. Howlin): Information on Brendan Howlin  Zoom on Brendan Howlin  I propose to take Questions Nos. 125, 126 and 155 together.

Kerry County Council submitted a proposal costing £109,000 for the upgrading of this scheme under the small schemes programme. As already announced, full responsibility for small water and sewerage schemes is to be devolved to local authorities. Accordingly, it will, in the future, be a matter for local authorities to decide on projects locally, within the block grants to be provided by my Department.

While the provision of a sewerage scheme at Steelroe, Killorglin has been discussed informally by Kerry County Council with my Department, no firm proposal has been submitted to date.
