Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin): Information on Micheál Martin  Zoom on Micheál Martin  It is open to the authorities of second level schools to appoint physical education teachers within the overall approved teacher allocation.

The question of providing further teaching resources to second level schools is being considered in the context of the 1998 Estimates which have not yet been finalised.
