  335.  Mr. Haughey  Information on Seán Haughey  Zoom on Seán Haughey   asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation  Information on James McDaid  Zoom on James McDaid   the amount of money allocated to his Department from the national lottery in relation to the recreational facilities scheme and major facilities scheme in view of the recent book of Estimates; when applications will be sought under these schemes; when final allocations will be made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation (Dr. McDaid): Information on James McDaid  Zoom on James McDaid  National lottery funding is allocated to my Department for the sports capital programme and the level of funding provided for grant payments in 1998 is £9 million. Decisions have still to be taken with regard to when applications will be sought or moneys allocated under the programme in the coming year.
